Works in Chrome or Edge on Windows or Mac. No app or driver to install.
Your gauge has no power button. Right before you connect, tap SELECT to wake it — if the screen is dark (asleep), your computer can't see it.
When the installer asks, do not erase the device — keep your data so your calibration and settings stay. Only erase if you want a full factory reset.

How to flash

  1. Plug the gauge into your computer with a USB-C data cable (a charge-only cable won't work).
  2. Wake the gauge — tap SELECT so the screen comes on. The gauge has no power button, and a sleeping gauge (dark screen) won't appear to your computer. Do this right before the next step.
  3. Click Connect & Flash My Gauge above.
  4. A small window lists serial ports — pick the one for your gauge (often shows USB JTAG/serial or ESP32-S3) and click Connect.
  5. If it asks whether to erase the device, choose not to erase (keep your data) — unless you want a full factory reset.
  6. Click Install and wait. The bar fills to 100% — don't unplug during this.
  7. When it's done, the gauge restarts itself on the new firmware — just unplug it. If the screen is dark, tap SELECT to wake it.

If something goes wrong

The button is greyed out / says unsupported

Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a Windows or Mac computer. Safari, Firefox, and phones (iPhone/iPad/Android) can't flash over USB.

No port appears, or it won't connect

First, make sure the gauge is awake — tap SELECT so the screen is on; a sleeping gauge won't show up. Next, make sure you're using a real USB-C data cable. If a port still doesn't show, put the gauge into flashing mode manually: hold the BOOT button (also labeled D0), tap the RESET button once, then release BOOT. Click Connect again and the port should appear. Closing other programs that use the serial port (Arduino IDE, PlatformIO monitors) can also help.

It failed partway through

Nothing is broken — the gauge simply keeps its old firmware until a flash fully completes. Unplug, plug back in, and run the flasher again. If it keeps failing, try the manual flashing-mode step above before clicking Connect.

Will this erase my calibration?

Only if you choose to. When the installer offers to erase the device, leave that off (keep your data) and your calibration and settings are preserved. Choosing erase wipes them, which you'd only want for a fresh start.
